Valhalla Memory Gardens continued to grow and expand with the building of more mausoleums, the Chapel of Peace, the Chapel of Love, Chapel of Love Court and buildings C, D and E. Our specialized gardens included the Garden of Valor, the Masonic Garden and religious gardens such as Everlasting Life, Gethsemane, Good Shepherd, Last Supper, Crosses and Serenity. Later, they developed Faith Memorial Park located in Madison, Alabama. Our handsome Georgian-style Valhalla Funeral Home is located on the grounds of Valhalla Memory Gardens. It all began in Huntsville, Alabama, in 1972 with 65 acres of undeveloped land. Valhalla Memory Gardens solemnly honors those who have served our country by offering over 1,000 lawn burials in the Valor Garden reserved for veterans. These include double-depth and side-by-side burials, ensuring that military families remain close to those who meant so much. Our grounds also offer above-ground mausoleum entombment, and our mausoleums are separated by open pavilions used for committal services and meditation. The Chapel of Devotion, made of native stone and completed in 1974, was Huntsville's first community mausoleum.
